09/12 F-16's crash near Marche-and-Famenne

Two F-16's of the Belgian air force have crashed Tuesday near Marche-and-Famenne during an exercise. 1 pilot was able to use his ejectionseat. The other pilot didn't eject and was found dead in its cockpit. The wreck of one of the planes has been found again near the town La Foulerie in Havelange according to the police. Which is still searching for the 2nd plane. The two F-16's took off from the air force basis of Kleine Brogel in Limburg and held a "Forward Air Controler" -exercise (FAC), a technique by which ground forces guide the pilots to their target. According to reports the planes collided in full flight.
