A woman held a syringe to a toddler's throat as she demanded cash from his father during a street robbery, police said today.
Humberside Police said the 39-year-old man was walking in Hull with his 19-month-old son yesterday morning when the attack happened.
A spokeswoman said a gang of two men and the woman approached the man and threatened him with a knife, demanding cash.
She went on: "The female in the group then grabbed the young child and held a syringe to the boy's throat.
"The man handed over his watch and jewellery and the offenders made off."
The man and his young son were uninjured in the robbery and did not know their attackers, police said.
Officers are looking for a white woman in her mid-30s as well as one man aged about 35 and another of around 20.
The incident happened on a footpath near County Road North in the city at 9.10am yesterday.

You should get a life mate instead of trawling the internet about UK crime,it's oh so boring now,and very few people actually give a fcuk!!
I'm certian that if we had a dedicated crimewatch consultant he could find the same contents for a number of countries represented here

While you may not care about the out of control increase in firearm/violent crime in the UK, I do, and as this is the Political Discussions and Rants section and my posts are Political in nature and could be considered Rants by others. I would say that this is the best place for them. I understand that people feel I am OTT but it concerns me that the UK is spiralling out of control and the Guberment are doing nothing to help the little people, all the while pushing feel good laws that have been proven to be worthless over here.
It's always easy to ignore my posts and move on by, but I would say that curiousity got the better of a few?
Anyway, should I take this as a formal warning(from a Mod) or are you just giving me some friendly advise?

Nah this is just getting wayyyy old, We all know each others views. Its not as if one side is suddenly going to think "my god! I've been so ignorant!" and change his mind.
One of us could easily play you at your own game and constantly post crimes committed in the US, but that fact is that we (well I anyway) have far more constructive things to do, like revision, and scratching my balls.

(and it would take far too long to post all the violent crimes from each day in the US)

You're still missing the point, not once have I denied the fact that crime takes place in the US :cantbeli: over here we are given a choice in the free states as to whether or not we want to use extreme force to defend ourselves.
Over in jolly old England the Guberment has made the decision that the law abiding cannot be trusted with such a big responsibility and prefers that you rely on the Police for protection 24/7.
In the example above, a father was forced to watch helpelessly as a woman put a syringe to his toddlers throat, unfortunetly the 24/7 Police were not on hand at that precise moment!
I know that a few of you will bring up "what will you do shoot them while they're holding the baby" no, God willing it would not get that far!

That's the whole point Geezah, you're not even in the UK!!!!!!
It's not a warning or even friendly advice mate, just an observation, your main contribution to the site is about a country you chose to run away from!!
It does you no good bragging about having a CCW or whatever because the Brits here don't really give a flying fcuk what kind of car you drive!!!!

In the Political Discussions and Rants which I explained above, but I'm not sure I would compare leaving a sh!t situation to running?
It does you no good bragging about having a CCW or whatever because the Brits here don't really give a flying fcuk what kind of car you drive!!!!
I'm not so sure it's a case of bragging about the freedoms I have here, more a case of highlighting how bad things have gotten in the UK, car, I drive an Impala LS p-)
