I read about some secret US army unit called Grey Fox, and they seem to be some kind of super ELINT/SIGINT unit, perhaps even attached through NSA, but I have only heard very few references to them. Anyone know anything?

The old Army Security Agency, my former unit, now the Army Intelligence Security Command (INSCOM), was a military branch of NSA. "Grey Fox" could be a covername for an operation or equipment since security is very, very much a concern for anyone who has ever worked for them or is currently working for them.

Do a Google search on "Army Security Agency" and "INSCOM" for more info in the public sector. The Air Force equivalent was the Air Force Sercurity Service, the Navy is the Naval Security Group and the Marines is the Marines Security Battalions (I don't know if these are the current branch names).

You can PM me if you have any specific questions that I might be able to answer.

Many errors in that article. Only Army and NG personell are selected for training. But the ISA did recruit from other branches of the service besides the ARMY...wink!!
