Hello everyone.
I'm trying to find a target that I can print up, a "poker" target that Christopher Whitcomb wrote about in page 182, first paragraph in his book Cold Zero. I can't really imagine how the target would look.
Does anyone know where I can find one online and print it out, or perhaps an idea of how to make your own?
Thanks have a good 'un!

I'm looking for the everlasting love that William Shakespeare described on page 167, second paragraph of Romeo and Juliet. Thanks.
I'm also looking for my frigging car keys, any ideas?

Bad day California Joe? What's up with the attitude man? Is my post somehow offensive? If it is, please let me know so I can make it less offensive, or delete it.

It was just a joke my German deathmetal band name sounding friend. Jeez.

Ah ha. Please excuse me California Joe, sorry I took it in a bad way.
I'm kind of in a bad mood myself, as I got "blasted" by a woman for asking politely if I could go with my friend to the local 7-11. Whenever I get yelled at for no good reason, I kind of turn sour.
Nachtschleicher means "Night Sneaker" in German.
Again, my apologies.
Have a good 'un.

I'd give you the answer if I had read the book.

Not sure.
The paragraph reads:
"Gunny Patterson explained he rules of the first competition, Snipers' Poker. Each rifleman got five bullets and a target showing fifty-two overlapping playing cards. The object of the game was to build the best possible poker hand by marking the cards of your choice. The problem was that only a tiny margin along the edge of each card peeked out from between the others. If we touched one of the other cards, our shot did not count. The margin for error seemed impossibly small." Cold Zero by Christopher Whitcomb, page 182, first paragraph.
I can short of imagine it, but not quite... the margin was on which side? The longer side of the shorter side? Kind of confusing to me.
No, I don't beleive that's the one (the pistol poker). What Mr. Whitcomb speaks of was shot at 25 yards with a .22 rimfire rifle fitted with a 2 power scope.
EDIT: Added in the last paragraph.

a target showing fifty-two overlapping playing cards
What part of that do you not understand?!?! They used a regular deck of playing cards.

I know that, but I want to know if an online version of the target can be found. If not, how can I make my own, i.e. how do I put it together?
As I said eariler,
I can short of imagine it, but not quite... the margin was on which side? The longer side of the shorter side?
Do I put the cards together and zerox them in an arch so that only corners are exposed? Or do I have the top (the shorter side) stick up higher than the previous so it resembles a staricase viewed from the side... ya know what I mean?

Use real cards that is what they did.
Just out of curiosty....
Why are you doing this?
Why don't you just use standard <enter range of your shot here> targets and only count one that are sub-MOA accurate? That is, after all the point of that excercise.

I suppose its because its different. Just adds a little variation.

Wierd, I seem to have lost interest in this sort of game since I saw the movie SWAT (highly-stylized pure Hollywood movie)

I am not too sure you will get an MOA good enough with any of the rifles to what you want...

I'd be shooting it with an Anschutz 1903. Capable of 1/4 MOA accurancy.

Yeah, that rifle WOULD be capable of doing this particular trick.
Just buy a couple decks of cheap cards.
