Is there a way to restrict new users from posting as soon as their account is active. It just seems like there are too many retards creating accounts and posting stupid/racist crap in the groups.

It would be great if there was a waiting period of a few days (or longer) before a new user can post. Most of the kiddies that come here to ruin things would probably loose interest and move on before having rights to post.

Just an idea, don't know if it's possible. Any other ideas?

I wish there was a restriction like that on some veteran posters...

I know how you feel, but I don't think it's a good idea. We do a good job self-policing this place. I'd rather weed out the trash while letting constructive new members post immediately. Plus, a lot of people lurk for some time before registering.

No. Mods and Hood do a fine job IMO for a forum with so many members. Post restriction at initial signup wouldn't do much I don't think.

Uh... I don't like that idea. I lurked for a long time, and only joined so that I could post something. I'm sure there are lots of good, intelligent members who do/did the same thing.

Every problem can be solved with a hammer. If that doesnt work get a bigger hammer.

Limiting is pointless as it only takes one post to show if someone is a jackass. If you limit you are just delaying the inevitible.

the mods are doing a good job....I can't complain too much
