He is the one wearing green beret. He is a real Comsubin. The elite of the elite.
Other ones are marine infantry, Rgt. S. Marco. Blue hat.
The first on the left is in the Army. He wears black beret.
(Since 1945, only tank men wore black beret. But, since 1975 all Army regiment get it).

Of course you are kidding: It is not that the Italians use that ordnance: they are guarding the dump. Those are decomissioned pieces.

By the way: how come the San Marco always get the coolest uniforms?

actually we used to have the coolest cammies :| there a plan to change them with the new ones adopted by the other armed forces.

The new one is better, in my humble opinion. But it is the same for everyone...

the cammie you posted was adopted by comsubin only, i guess,under the nickname of "pink panther". San Marco didnt adopo it or wear it officially as far as i know. there was a prototype of desert pattern for san marco as well, i got one something like 12 years ago,but once again it was never adopted too. it was very similar to the standard pattern but with more sand colour and rotten brown/green.

PS - the cammie is very good, but those who ordered such silly bush hat should be fired. Thanksfully i never had to wear it and we were able to wear aftermarket stuff, back in 1991.
