How do you get rid of hiccups?

I've had hiccups for about 3 hours now, on and off...
Post your methods of getting rid of 'em.

Oh yeah, eating cauliflower and having hiccups usually results in a partially obstructed airway. Just sayin'.

Better drink one or two glasses of water. Drink more until it works. This is definitely safer than what Rantaplan suggests p-)

Well here's how I got rid of em...
Ate a bit of peanutbutter, took a swig of pepsi, boxed with my sister a little, went out and played a little tackle football with a german and then went rollerblading.

They're gone now.
And the above is seriously no joke! I decided I combine them all, lol.

Wait patiently until your lungs expand from the spasms due to your hiccups, then the pressure on your ribs will crack them, perhaps puncturing your lungs, then internal bleeding and lack of air will kill you, thus stopping your hiccups.

Anyway, the world record for hiccups was 30 years or something like that.
