Oh about the time your grubby country started calling its self a nation. Come on that was more then a little rude.
Anyway the US, and Pakistan have had a long, and deep relationship that was only interrupted, and changed after the blatant staging of the fact it had a Nuclear bomb. The Brits keep an on going relationship with India, the US would like to but in supporting Pakistani it limits what India will here from the US. Anyway clothing is not in the same class of military support as CBUs, or F-16s.
After Pakistan had to show it had nukes it has become a on, and off again thing with our leadership, and congress but on going with things like training, and classes. I could write a book about how that works.

I guess that was a little rude, but I have little patience. One of the things I have to work on. And quite frankly, the whole issue of Pakistan has tested my patience beyond the limit. I doubt anyone can blame me for that
Anyway, I'm serious about the question. I wasn't aware of American style uniforms and helmets given to the Paks. From what I understand, only the SSG commandos have recieved such aid, ostensibly to be used for catching osama.
I really doubt these unprofessional looking mopes are Pakistan's elite units. Though I do not recognize the badges on their berets.

As to your being upset with them, yes I can blame you. And I blame the UK the most for crating this, but then again the two nations should have work it out years, and years ago.
This is not like the case with Yugoslavia, and Albanian. And although in my view the solution is simple I will concede that a workable one that preserves the “Honor” of India would be a more workable one that all can live with. Anyway it should have been fixed long ago. India should quit being --- an ass, and start working on fixing it instead of acting like it is not there. And many workable solutions can be made to happen but both sides have to be willing to look at options, and India holds all the cards for peace. Not only with Pakistan, but with its own people as well.
It is always much easier for sane, reasonable, and caring people to work out issues. Collectives, and Government cloud issues with superfluous bs.

Anyway I should have added about the uniforms as that was the question. Just like India regional commanders, and down through the ranks have a great deal more power then in the US. I am willing to bet that the chance that it is a regional thing would be a high option. During the War with the USSR the US gave Pakistan some weapons that could only be used in the northwestern area. They held to that. If anything the military of Pakistan, and India for the most part are very honorable. But in all truth I trust Sheks the most in India.

OK try this, where do you think the old green uniforms they had came from.
Ok, I'll spell it out more clearly: Those Pakistani soliders are sporting the most modern infantry equipment in the Pakistani army. These uniforms, helmets, vests and weapons have been provided by America to the Pakistani SSG and other specialized border/police CT units specifically for use in anti terror ops.
These troops are sporting them now. That either means (1)These are SSG or an elite CT unit. (2)Pakistan has decided to use this equipment in other units. (3)Pakistan has upgraded its infantry to such a degree that it can relegate this equipment to second-line units.
Three is out of the question, and one is debateable, given how these troops are acting and wearing the equipment. I'm thinking two, but this would constitute a breach in publicly stated uses for this equipment. Hence my confusion.
And although in my view the solution is simple I will concede that a workable one that preserves the “Honor” of India would be a more workable one that all can live with. Anyway it should have been fixed long ago. India should quit being --- an ass, and start working on fixing it instead of acting like it is not there. This will likely take the thread off topic, but I'm not sure how you can simply tell India to "stop being an ass." :cantbeli:
It is not India that launched 5 wars of aggression against its neighbor, supported and sent radical religious terrorist across the border to bomb and behead the civilian population into submission, and it was not India that is in violation to over 50 bilateral and multilateral laws, agreements and UN resolutions.
And many workable solutions can be made to happen but both sides have to be willing to look at options, and India holds all the cards for peace. Not only with Pakistan, but with its own people as well. Pardon? Again, I simply cannot see how you can lump the actions of both countries together. Quite frankly, it speaks of either an ignorance of the entire matter or a dismissal of its relevancy.
Peace is quite simple. Pakistan must disarm its terrorist training camps and stop sending rabid jehadis across the border to blow up schools, as happened a couple days ago. It simply blows my mind that you're laying the entire thing at India's feet. Should she simply submit to the Islamist fundamentalist terror? Cause if this is your logic, America should simply pack up, move out and hand over all of Iraq to Ansar al-Islam.
Anyway I should have added about the uniforms as that was the question. Just like India regional commanders, and down through the ranks have a great deal more power then in the US. I am willing to bet that the chance that it is a regional thing would be a high optionSorry, I don't understand you here?
During the War with the USSR the US gave Pakistan some weapons that could only be used in the northwestern area. They held to that.Actually, American weapons largesse to Pakistan has regularly been used against India. Especially Stingers and other manpads. Even in the Kargil war, Pakistan avialed itself of much of this weaponry. Pakistani jehadis employ a lot of these weapons against India as well. This is well documented by everyone involved. Just read the Patterns of Global Terrorism reports

And yes I have spent much time out of India (born in America) and yes, I am middle class (as is the majority of people in India.) I assume you're middle class or upper middle class as well.
My assumptions of ignornace of the situation are based off of your comments. (Equalizing blame between victim and agressor, misunderstanding of basic historic facts, calling Sikhs 'Sheks', etc.)

Actually that really did not come to mind. And further more I will fain ignorance as to what Indian Sikh say about those born in the US.
I was thinking more about a very Honorable people, practicing Sikh that I have known, and had even limited contact with have always been very Honorable, and likable people, and most of them (the men. Females are another thing) it takes a horrendous amount of time to get them to relax, and talk to.
That’s what I was thinking about. But because of that they are very good troops, and failure is not something they take well.
I would say if you really wish to do this openly I am more then happy to do so, but I would think, you would feel more comfortable doing so in pm, or e-mail. If you wish to make a topic I will be more then happy to participate in a mutually, respectful way!
