Nice pics, dude. What's gettin on my nerves, that there are nearly no pics of German Special Forces in action available (only a handful of KSK pics) even though they were involved in major fighting and cave cleaning (e. g. during Op. Anaconda). Would be really nice to see some pics of those dudes. Every country has nice pics of their SpecOp-guys but our government goes nuts about the OPSEC-issue.

Last issue (#211) of the French magazine RAIDS has a series of pics of Italian TF Nubio in Afghanistan, including snipers with Sako TRG42 and Col Moschin Incursori with M4s, as well as a heavy mortar team with French 120mm TBA RTF1 rifled mortars.

Is it just me, or do most of our Polish friends here really think that Poland is a kick-ass-nation??
No offense here, but in nearly every thread where a Polish guy posts, I hear stuff like "In WW2, we kicked ****'s (insert country you like) ass", "we defended ourselves against superiour forces" etc.

My impression is that many people here seem to move quickly from simply having pride in their country to being overly defensive. This is especially true of some Italians, Poles and French, since these nationalities are too often the butt of jokes about their military skills (usually jokes by people who themselves have no military skills or experience). But a lot of Americans, Brits, Canadians, Germans, Israelis and Russians here also get worked up over nothing.
What I find ironic, having worked with soldiers from some 50 different countries during my time in the army, is that most soldiers don't give a **** about this and don't play the "my **** is bigger than yours" game, while most internet keyboard commandos have no military background.
By the way, companies take on battalions all the time. And as a platoon leader, I have had my men "surround" an entire company before. It is no big deal. It is only a matter of maintaining the initiative, controlling key terrain and being able to bring effective fire to bear on the enemy. You do not have to physically surround a numerically larger force to "surround" it.
And by the way #2, Poland is a kick-ass nation! As an American of predominantly German, Polish and Cherokee ancestry, I can say whatever the hell I want about Poles and Germans, but I just have to remember to kick my own ass.
Regards,
Dave

It's not just you, but it's not just the Poles either. In general there's just way too much d*** measuring going on around here. It is really irritating when it's completely unrelated to the topic at hand. This didn't start out as an inane "who's better" post. Why would anyone want to turn it into one?

Can someone post pictures or give a link to pictures of Iran's military? Soldiers, Tanks, Aircraft, all would be helpful. Does Iran have a Counter Terrorism force?
