DANGEROUSLY LOW: The Combat Talon II Flies Low for Spec Ops
How low can you go? That's a question the Combat Talon II is made for. Flying as low as 250 feet, the MC-130H can perform high-speed airdrops and refuel helicopters in mid-air, proving it's tough enough to handle the rigorous demands of Air Force spec ops.

The MC-130H planes are well-suited to the rapid-deployment operations being carried out in Iraq and Afghanistan, and the need to supplement the fleet of Talon IIs has become apparent as the War on Terror continues. The aircraft are particularly adept at covert penetration of hostile airspace, and are specially adapted to perform in adverse weather conditions. The plane is tasked with carrying out insertion, extraction, and re-supply of special-op forces, and it is capable of refueling helicopters during extended operations. The plane has also proved useful in psychological operations (i.e. dropping propaganda fliers).
