The Empire Strikes Back. Really had the best plot and acting out of all of them in my opinion.

Empire Strikes Back. No question about it.
This is how I rank the entire saga.
V
III
VI
IV/II
I
Sith is not far behind Empire, but nothing can knock Empire from the top spot. It's just too awesome.

The starfighter battle in Return of the Jedi is the best ever.
The lightsaber fight between Luke and Vader had the most emotion

Yeah, the Battle of Endor was definitely the best of all the movies. However, I do think that the duel between Anakin/Vader and Obi-Wan in Ep.III is probably the most emotional (and by far the best in terms of action), if only because of Ewan McGregor's performance.

:| you have got to be kidding me.....you ranked IV BEHIND III and VI and ranked it the same as the crapfest that was episode II? The only thing sane was voting ESB the best...which it is...
The only thing Sith had over A New Hope was better FX....Return of the Jedi was the worse of the new trilogy (ewoks....ugh EWOKS). Please Episode III was ok....only because it was the best of the Prequels and that isn't saying much....

Ewoks trained with the vietcong during the 50's so they are adept in gurrila warfare againest technologically advaced foes.

What can I say? I thought III was awesome. I didn't like it in the same way as I liked the OT, which was a big part of my childhood, but I thought it was totally brilliant. Yeah, I wish I didn't rank IV the same as II now, because when I think about it, IV is obviously way better.
ESB has always been my favourite, but ANH and ROTJ have never had firm positions. I mean yesterday I said my rankings were V,III,IV,VI,II,I.
Also people don't really give I & II much of a chance. Like this time last week i was telling my brother how turd they were, but the day I went to see Sith I watched I & II on DVD and I really enjoyed them. Theyr'e by no means better than any of the OT, but they don't really deserve all the **** they get.

Lucas butt f*** the prequels good and proper.
Having seen Ep.III, the prequels sort of finally tie together. I don't have nearly as much of a problem with them as I did before, though Lucas definitely made alot of mistakes in them.

Wasn't the biggest mistake, that Leia later said she remembered her mother in early childhood as being very kind?
I'm not a big fan of the prequels, because they almost destroyed a childhood myth for me. (I still hate my best friend for selling him my 30+ action figures just to see that he (still!) has the whole collection.)
I like rubber-puppet Yoda and the sausage heads in Jabba's palace.
I see the new trilogy as something totally different. Now i'm a little more pleased, because the way anakin got almost charred hit my expectaions.
And showed something i really tried to imagine when i was a kid.
My choice: VI. V may be better, but i was to young to actually see it, when it came out. ROTJ was my first real experience and dominated my childhood. I loved ROTJ as my little brother (pffft) loved masters of the universe.

Lucas obviously didn't really consider this when he wrote ROTJ, but it's explainable in the SW universe. Remember that Leia, like Luke, is Force-sensitive, which means that it could be possible for her to have been able to sort of see through her mother even while in the womb. It could also be possible for her to unintentionally use the Force to see images or visions of her.

I admire the Empire, I did like the ESB very much but ANH is the one which I saw as the first one when I was like 7 yo and that's the one which I like to watch the most. Ah, and Tarkin was in that one :P So my list is:

Jar Jar Binks makes Ewoks look like f*cking shaft.
As for the best film.
Empire Strikes Back. "I'm your father!" Holy f*cktards!

definitely ESB.
i heard somewhen that lucas put the ewoks into VI because he wanted to reach more children with this movie. might be true... but i dunno.
i always asked me how the ewoks could be able to win a battle against the stormtroopers, the mightiest army in the galaxy that conquered whole worlds. then they come to endor and get asskicked by an army of teddybears that uses bows, slings and tree traps. but VI is still a cool movie.
episode 1 is crap, except the darth maul fight, that guy was damn good, excellenct coreographed fight.
episode 2 is also not the best, but has some nice action (i like the clone troopers). havent seen it for 2 or 3 years now even though i have it on dvd.
just my 2 € cents

I don't care if the acting was crap, because almost all acting is crap (with exceptions), the shinny light sabers are awesome. Plus, seeing that prissy looking guy who plays Vader getting his legs and arms cut off were awesome!
