Might be a REALLY long shot, but try contacting AAFES...
...the PXs used to have local sew-shops in Iraq that would sew dual-language nametapes...

I thought about that. But i figured that it was issued to him by the company he works for.

Only shop that made such tags was next to PX at Camp Doha in Kuwait. I am on doubt that it was a part of AAFES, I guess that "only" AAFES authorized or something like that. The best way to get is to have a buddy over there.

I was about to write the same thing CAG147 wrote! When I was at Camp Doha (Winter/Spring 2000), the guy who did the Arabic/Latin name tapes was an Arab (I assume-maybe he was Indian) who ran a shop inside the AAFES building. I doubt if he has a website. Like CAG147 wrote, I would see if someone you may know can hook you up. If you don't know anyone over there, I guess you may be **** outa luck!

The chogi tailors in Allenby and Waterloo Lines (at BAS) also did them albeit to a lower cost and quality.

You could also try here, small outfit, reasonable prices, and she does plenty of custom work.

Ranger Joes now has them, but you'd have to order the English, then the Arabic tape and sew them one above the other. They also have "US Army" in Arabic written on tapes in stock.

Hopefully the source is trustworthy...you wouldn't want to get a nametape back that says "moron" in Arabic and you think it's your name! :)

 I once was told to go say something to a Mexican guy I worked with in Spanish... Well the person who told me what to say decided to play a dirty joke on me to say the least. I ended up telling the Mexican dude to "pull his pants down" in Spanish. I will never forget the look on that poor guy's face.

If you post the Arabic from the name tapes you get and tell me your last name, I'll let you know if it's correct or not.

:) Yes, you are right. I remember one at Allenby just next to the chow hall.
PX at Doha shut already? I guess that moving to Arifjan is planned for later months.

el borracho, where/how did you get Arabic? I have MS Word but I don't have the Cyrillic or Arab alphabet, both of which everyone else seems to have and I want.
I'm not fluent in either Russian or Arabic as I've only been studying them each for a little over a year, but I can easily read either. Especially if it's a Western name.
