I think what he was refering to was their duty as soldiers- to follow orders from the elected civilian commander and chief. It's an extreme (and sarcastic) example, but it shows that the president has the power to order men into combat and they being soldiers can't say anything but "Yes Sir." and go into said combat where they may (and some will) die. In that context, the President controls the life and death of the soldier.

Where Channel 4 is concerned,they have ALWAYS been onsided were Iraq is concerned. They have been AGAINST it & used EVERY MEANS to belittle those who went there to do the right thing.

So Channel 4 has proven that the Media CANNOT be Impartial.They have there Pro Terrorist/Islamic Fundamentlist approach & they will go to extreme lengths to show them in a Better light than ANYONE else.
The channel ran for Bleeding Liberal Minded Idiots by Bleeding Liberal Minded IDIOTS.

Any ideas where the script of the interview with the General can be found?

Any more info on how long the average tour is for a US soldier. On the program they said the guys from 4 ID had been there since April and still had 2 more months to go. I presume they get a break at some point during their tour?

Saw the article on C4 news. reaction what a bunch of wankers. I now see Why the Iraqis absoultley hate the Americans.
If this is SOP for the US army in Iraq they aren't going to get anywhere. The report mentioned they were copying the Israeli tactics that will not help them win friends out there. They should have looked to their coalition allies experience in Northern Ireland and various other trouble spots around the world.
But i was absoutley horrified at the way thease guys are getting on. The sooner they are goten out the better.
