Those are old military jokes bud. We're also gonna need a 5 gallon bucket of rotor wash and a left-handed smoke shifter. I figured some from the 75th would have heard of a few of these.

Not to piss on the chem light parade, but you know that going to Ranger School in no way qualifies you to wear the 75th DUI? Yea, this is just some website that weall post on. And yes, we can put up whatever avatar we want. But why put up one that represents ourself as more than we really are?
I mean hopefully this time next year I'll be a Ranger, but I didn't go out and get a tab tattooed on. I know you feel like a badass. I've been there. But you need a sence humility. As cadets, we've done d*cksh*t compared to the dudes who earned the right to that crest. Not trying to bust your balls man, but its better to come to terms with these issues now and here then later and in front of soldiers.

LOL. Yah but I'm hoping to go to the 75th. A good friend of mine is a bird Colonel and he hooked my two buddies up with going to Fort Lewis instead of one of the ****tier posts for the other 2 batts. I'm hoping he can hook me up in a simlar way once I pass Ranger School (And I will pass). I'm not just a cadet, I'm a soldier as well. Honest to God my two Ranger buddies didn't care at all about me having the crest on my avatar. Did you know that there are people like commo guys that are getting to wear the tan beret (with the crest) and don't even have to go to RIP or Ranger School now? I've talked with some of them personally when I was at Lewis. But besides all that, if it really gets all of your panties into bunches, I'm gonna change my avatar... happy?

Those are the guys who make them for the most of Europe, they are located in france. They should be able to tell you who imports them in your country, who in turn should be able to get you in touch with someone who can sell them to you.
Don't know about Iceland, but here on the mainland allmost anything that has "Infra-Red" on it requires paperwork... Never seen an IR chemlight in any store. "outdoor" type stores and surplus stores usually have the regular colored kinds. Believe they are between 2,- / 3,- euro each.

Sigursson,
Hey I picked up some jumbo chemlights form a drug store. If you check you might find them in the little automotive section of a store, any sorta store. They use those in place of road flares. I don't know if they have any smaller sized ones, but hey, you never know.
Plus you may want to check party supply stores.
Have a good one!

I'll be leaving for IOBC in less than 2 years.

Wait, you're TWO YEARS out? How long have you been in the Army?
From Karma's profile:
Occupation: Student, AROTC/ARNG
Interests: I am quit skilled in running and hitting things, i have been practicing my shooting skillz with my bb gun, for when i sign up to be a delta.
Dude... I hope this is all a big joke that got out of hand.
Otherwise; Good luck with your BB skillz, I hope they help you with your career as a male flight attendent, it's good to see you allready chose your employer. The running also should help with that... however I'm not to sure the Business Class flyers will like the "hitting" part.

Found a shop here in Iceland that sells chem-lights (snaplight) guess what?
$15 for 1 pack (2 lights in the pack) Then again that shop was a bit pricy(sp?) they also have Nalgene bottles (which you can get for $8 from Lightfighter) they were selling them for $35.
It's unfair to live here. http://files.bns-code.org/cry.gif

Why don't you just order them with a credit card? Works great for me at least.
On special items it is worth paying 25% more in taxes, they are still much cheaper than in here.

If you payed 15 bucks for two snaplights... your over-paying to say the least.
You might want to try www.Lightfighter.com , they also carry cyalume/Omni glow lightsticks.
Did you try to contact Omniglow btw?
Just had a little look around the house to see if I had any sticks around... guess I do ;)

Yeah I know well that I over-payed for it, I'm just going on a roadtrip tomorrow and wanted two with me.
I haven't contacted omniglow themself but I found very cheap glow sticks on glowuniverse.com so I guess I'll try ordering from them and see how their service is.
... check out their shipping prices... higher than the item cost.
I hope your hitting yourself over the head with that smiley...
They look like those lightsticks they hand out at parties sometimes... to be honest... they suck.
I bought a couple of those once (believe the brand was SMS or somethin similar), and half of them did not function properly(very dim light), and a few not at all, this was after minimal exposure outside of the package(several hours up to a day or two). Also the thinner kinds without the hole in the top tend to break very easily... not good.

I know they charge just as much for shipping as they do for the item itself for int shipping, but it's still cheaper then what I can get here.
If I order 50 assorted stick from them I get them for $1.33 each and that is with customs and all charges to get them here, I am willing to try those out just for that, and hey, if they dont work well for me I can sell some sore loser them for $10 each :D

995?
995NOK is well over 160USD.
Around 600NOK per 100USD.
**** those are some expensive light sticks, but then again Icelandic money isn't worth as much as the Norwegian Kroner.

Anyway: As a distributor at a tank batallion it's quite easy for me to send you some chemlights (we call them break-lights but when you ask a Brit for that you'll get a nice 10W brake-light.. rofl )
So PM me if you still need some. Colours available:
Green, red, white, yellow, orange, Infra-red

Where is a good place to order chemlights?
Good prices and good selection.Get youself down to the local fishing gear supplier, there is at least one vessel in Iceland that uses light sticks by the crate load. They also come in big assed plastic buckets about the same size as the kind you get Artex in.

FYI- We will be offering Omniglow mil-spec chemlights online late August. 4", 6", 10" light sticks, 2" adhesive circles, as well as the hot 15" IMPACT light stick- these are REALLY FUN to play with and have a myriad of applications. Thanks!

Hey guys. Im in europe and i need chemlights. Is there any good websites that sell them cheap and can ship them to europe? If i buy them here, i have to pay like 5 USD for ONE stick. I need like 50 of them, so 5 USD a piece is gonna be very expensive.
I didn't wanna make a new thread so im posting in this old thread...

There's a lot of 100 bundles of cyalume on ebay for 33 dollars (for 100), but the sellers say to ship to europe it takes 3/4 months LOL

Normally we only ship to USA or Canada. Shipping anywhere else usually takes a MINIMUM of 3-4 months for delivery from Canada and costs ($57.82)...if waiting a MINIMUM of 3-4 months and paying $57.82 for shipping and handling is ok with you then go ahead and buy..Yeah, no. Hey... I bet you have access to a bunch of chemlights...p-)

Hi all is it illegal to export at least request an order from the U.S.A. for Infra red chemlights to an other country?
Here in Europe it's boring: they request you to be in the military...
I just want to have them for "showing" porpouse you know I am reenacting etc, I am not going to use...any way this of course sounds like BS.
I just want to know if somebody of you knows if some shop (do not mention it I will find it on my own...) exports these items...at a good price.
I see a package of 10 pcs is for 19 dollars...(I repeat, for Infra red not common ones).
Thanks

Thanks.

Why would you judge someone from the title they have under their name?
Look on Ebay, there is a Canuck user who sells boxes of 100 count expired IR sticks (that STILL work mind you) for about 30 bucks a box. That is an insane deal. He would be able to "export" to you since they are already out of the US.
P.S. I just noticed I posted this before and above, you might want to follow it even though it would take a few months to possibly get to your country.

Btw, I read all the topic (not all the posts of course) in this hour and I just specifically looked for IR referred posts or interesting post.
I gotto say I found a lot of interesting info also around...even the Alchool thing is cool but you know...(donno how...I must google it)..
Canuck?...must check it out now...

1- I didnt think you were going to fill the chemlite case with alcohol while next to a blowtorch .
2- Koolaid powder is Drink mix
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kool-Aid
Or whatever they use in Your country.
3-If you think your a Monkey, I'm sorry for you but thats not my problem.
4- Me, I would either use the real deal stuff for my Uber Loadout that I was Issued, or use a substitute. I Re-Enact WWII, we dont use real Fragmentation grenades, we use substitutes, inert, dummy, practice units, comprende?
5- Kap seems to have put you on the right track towards the expired IR chemlites. Me I would rather make my own than buy expired ones.
Either way good luck

Mmm... man we don't have cool aid here.
1 2 3 4 5 6... let me take a deep breathe.
Comprendo comprendo e tu? take it easy.
I am not interested in making a "uber load out" just interested in knowing if somebody sends stuff outside... etc, I found something Infra Red (Infra Red versions are restricted to approved customers) ...
1 and only 1 - I don't want Expired risk pieces...this is not so obvious so it has to be said, but I am still interested to see if there is a good deal...I mean: an expired 100 number of pieces should cost like 10 dollars...
What happens if I find the way to have kool aid? The result I have is a functioning IR system? What are the quantities? (google them? should I). how long it lasts?...
This sounds like the pepsi and mentos thing...
(I think that it is a good Idea to put under my name the subtitle: "If you think I am a monkey, just state it!") --- Don't tread on me.
Uga uga uga -Muahahah.
Just because they are expired, doesn't mean they are bad. When I first got my box, I tested 3 IR sticks by randomly choosing them from different parts of the box. They all worked as they were intended for, and they were just as bright and lasted for hours as if they weren't expired... Expired chemsticks can last years after expiration date. And 30 dollars for 100 is CHEAP. Normally a 10 pack runs for more than 20 dollars. So 10x20= $200 That is a lot of savings.
EDIT: Looks like they aren't being sold in lots of 100 anymore.

Sincerely speaking I watched, and just mind this, I know how to use search on E bay, at least I know the ways some things are hidden if you do not change the source or if you don't change the address URL up there from your country standard set for me is "iT" to "Com" or "CA" in the case of the canuck guy you cannot often see or better, YOU CANNOT, see the items as result of the search even if you wrote the words of items that are sold in those "ebay areas".
So any way I cannot find those things you said I found some BHind chemlight sold by a canadian but nothing more.
Any way I found a shop that exports it's BlueskyPPR... and sends 12checml.x10 packet in a box for 135 euros.
This is from an auction buy now ... expiring in 2010 it seems I found what I was looking for...any way these things are reall hard to find...(especially for shipping and other BS restriction...).
Thanks.
