I am with the Italianos. Any forecasts, comments, cursing, etc etc?

As hard it is for me to admit as a german. :lol:
I'm totally with the english side. LIVERPOOL. But they really must fight their lungs out, because AC is much 'cooler' in their style of play.
AC are the favourites, but in a cup-final you never know.
Milan was such a great team 10 years ago or something.. Today, I just don't know.

I'm with Liverpool. I can't stand Italian football, with all of that shirt tugging, diving, complaining to the Ref, slicked hair.... Every team has a guy or two with slicked hair, but it seems to be required by the IFA.
And NO ONE is more arrogent about their football - not the Brits, Spanish, Greeks - than the I-THAIs.
That said, Milan has some fantastic players, Shevers, Kaka :oops: ....
I hope it's not one of those nil nil finals taken on penalties.
The pace should be great and it should be fun to watch Liverpool try to work Milan into the ground.
Edit: Prediction. 1-1 Full time. 2-1 Liverpool 105mins. ;)

I hate Liverpool, they are boring and have got some terrible players apart from Gerrard and Carragher.
But I still want them to win.

I think Liverpool's a bit deeper than that!! Baros, Xabi Alonso, Riise, Hyypia...
They might not be star-studded but they've got some talent (althouh I'll concede that they don't always play the most exciting football).

I have 2 prayers for this game. 1st that Liverpool win, 2nd that they dont Americanise the anouncers when they show it on ESPN. I almost wish it was on PPV, at least then you get good British comentators!

so true. I like the radio-commentator-style. Just tells you what's happening and gives some emotions. Not that yeah 352 vs. 442 because yadda... statistic xyz, % passing efficency. You can do that later.

True. Baros is good, but is rarely on good form, Xabi Alonso is a really good player but he hasn't had good form. Riise has been too inconsistent as has Hyypia (he only got back in the team recently) they are decent players but nothing special.
But their main problem is too many really crap players like Kewell, Biscan (who has actually been not totally terrible recently) and the infamous Traore (He just can't, he just can't he just can't control his feet.)

I agree. What a match! In 6 minutes Liverpool scored 3 goals. And Dudek was awsome. His defense were amazing. That's one of the best goal-keepers around.

Dudek might not be the greatest but he saved the game for Liverpool..
Smicer's first goal in almost TWO years was a thing of beauty! Gerrad was a rock in the second half. Hyppia, Hamann, Alonso, Traore all played their asses off in the second half.
Don't be too sad Mongoose I'm sure Arsenal will win it some day soon.....
This was the best Champions leauge final i have ever seen. Liverpool have my utmost respect for humbling AC Milan the way they did.CONGRATULATIONS RED FANS!!! :hug:
Dudek may not be the best keeper out there but he was the hero of this game to me even over Gerad

Interesting game to say the least.
Both sides were completely different teams either side of mi-temps.
Game ball to Dudek for sure; a diving one-handed stop on the Milan 100+kph free kick, the double stop on a free Shevers deep in extra time (has that ever happened before?), and then the penalties...
It was funny listening to the game (in French). First half it was all Kakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakakaka; in the second half, it was Gerrard and Carragher dispossessing anyone within 5 meters.
Another highlight for me was an absolutely sublime takeaway by Nesta from Luis Garcia who was about to make the game 3-1.... Respect to the old school I-Thai defenders.

Nope, I just read an article on Eurosport. UEFA said they won't bend the rules and that the FA will continue to fight for this, though it's unlikely to happen.

Whether or not they do it was a marvelous run, in a competetion they were never favored to win. Next year's final will be hard pressed to match this one. I think Liverpool made a boatload of new fans after last night..... woot
