In all seriousness though, I don't think this unit would start wearing unit patches. The lack of unit distinguishment on uniforms is something that Marines pride themselves on.

Amen to that. Truck driver, or Force Recon- all Marines are equally 'important'. :D
Course, it could be for the sake of the SOCOM leaders. Evidentally being the only group of ultimate badasses WITHOUT an Arm patch isn't enough to distiquish which service they're from. ;)

Seriously, do you know how detrimental to the morale in USMC if everyone start wearing badges and tabs?
