Request for information: terminal effects of 7.62X39 >>

I'd like to get information in any form, whether it be websites or research papers regarding the terminal effects of shooting Russian 7.62X39mm ball ammunition against armor plate. Critical specfications such as armor plate thickness and material composition/hardness are important.

I've tried a DTIC public search and don't anticipate the private search to turn much of anything either, so I would appreciate anything you all have to offer.

Well with normal ball there really isn't any penetration in RHA, couple of mm's only. AP is a bit different matter, but ball is very easily defeated and that may make it difficult to find anything about.
