Read 16 OBr SpN's posts where he talks about captured chechens being torn apart between two BTR's, women snipers having grenades detonated in their mouths, prisoners thrown out of helo's, etc.

Each side seems intent on outdoing the other atrocity-wise. They're as bad as each other, but of course there is ALWAYS a justification and we in the west could NEVER possibly understand.

Does anyone, preferably someone un-biased, know the entire history of the Russia/Chechnya situation?, I've read about Stalin deporting the entire chechen population to siberia during WW2 and the resulting death from disease but not much else.

Facts would be welcome, leftist liberal or ultra-nationalistic bleating would'nt.

If you read those posts again, you will notice that in all those cases I was talking about foreign mercenaries. And you know, even the most democratic western nations admit, that a foreign mercenary doesn't have a POW status. In chechnya foreignors die the most painful death possible, and that's just a signal to others. What's wrong with that??
While chechens torture those helpless guys, who are actually soldiers, and therefore have a POW status.

Chechens fully deserved what happened to them. They were gladly assisting Germans in any way possible. Germans created a platoon consisting strictly from chechens, to carry out sabotage missions. Khruschev should have kept them in Siberia, instead of letting them move back. In that context, Stalin was the greatest man, because he was from Caucasus and knew the mentality of chechens.
A chechen does not understand a good language, he understands only a language of a gun pointed at his head.

Yes, we caught many of them, even before they could start filming.
Like I said, those attacks they film are very rare success stories. They set up explosives at night, but the night time is the time when most of the recon groups are out hunting after them.
I would say 70% of our video footage is taken during the night. Many of them are ambushes.

There is a video footage of our guys raiding a chechen base in the forest. They quitely take out a patrol, then move in. Two guys with machineguns enter the room, where 12 chechen scums are asleep. They shoot them in a point-blank range. Result - 14 scumbags dead; 0 losses. :D
In the end you hear a funny conversation between them while they are searching the documents in dead chechens pockets. They are talking about the the character in popular Brazilian soap opera, which is aired on our TV:
- Do you think she's hot?
- No I like her cousin better.
- But she has funny looking legs!
- Wipe your eyes! Anyway, if I had 1 million dollars, I would go to Brazil, buy myself a nice suit, and a bouqet of roses; go to her house and go out with her.

Thats good man, besides I used the term "Cameraman" loosely because if you do watch some of the video's the brightness setting is jacked all the way up making it look like theres snow on the ground. :cantbeli:

Another thing I noticed on a serious note majority of the bombs seemed to be artillery shells rigged up to some sort of cell phone device. Can you expand any on this OBr? You always here some sort of cell phone dialing like they have another phone rigged up as a trigger to set off the bombs.

Do you guys have that system to "jam" cell phones? Im not sure what its called but I read in another article on this site that it's been used effectively.

Actually helicopter made controlled landing. Unfortunately it hit the ground by its back and backdoors were blocked by this impact. So many people coludn't get out and died in fire. If doors could be opened there was low number of casualties.

I hope you all know why the chechens film their attrocities. These "soldiers of god" send these tapes to bin-laden type asshats to show that they are killing infidels, in return they get paid. So the worse the crap they show, the more money they get. I have heard of some abuses by Russian soldiers, but nothing compared to the crap these chechen animals do. Russian soldiers have never, to my knowledge, skinned anyone alive or anything like that. I even have a tape of a Russian amnesty where any chechen who is tired of fighting can turn himself in and with his arms, recieve medical treatment, and walk away. It really made me think. This was an MBD tape, and not for distribution, so it wasn't just propaganda. Of course, I doubt this amnesty was extended to foreign fighters. But now that I think of it, I just recently heard an interview with a Turkish idiot that had been captured fighting in Russia and all the Russians did was deport him. He has tried several times to get back via Georgia but each time he is arrested and deported. I was very surprised he wasn't summarily "deported" straight to Allah. I have seen the way chechen animals deal with kontraktniki and it isn't nice.

Thermal imaging satellites are not that great for seeing through forests. Even the powerful expensive American satellites couldn't see through trees in Kosovo, and I doubt the Chechen rebels would oblige the Russians by moving their bases out into the open in perhaps a nice desert environment.

From space a group of men and a group of sheep look pretty similar on a thermal image.

The upgrade program for the Hips and Hinds looks very good however... being able to fight effectively at night would greatly reduce their losses and improve their ability to intercept transport hubs and links of the enemy... :-)

The Upgrade for the Hind includes a laser rangefinder to greatly improve accuracy at longer ranges... it also includes making it lighter and stronger and replacing the engines with more powerful units. (The chin turret with the 4 barrel 50 cal gatling is replaced by a twin 23mm cannon in a turret, and the main rotor and tail rotor and short wings are replaced by those developed for the Havoc (Mi-28). The rotors are lighter, stronger, generate more lift and allow much better manouverability. (In theory with the new rotor the Hind should be able to be looped and rolled).
