For the last 2 days now after about 15 minutes my msn wont let me send any messages keeps saying they cant be recieved and my contacts see me as offline,i cannot change my name or status either so have to sign out and back in again.

Why is this?

If it MSN Messenger 7 go to Tools, Options, Connection, Advanced Settings and make sure you only have HTTP proxy ticked and on port 80. All others should be unchecked. Hope it works.

Sorry mate, can't do more. Some people have had problems with MSN Messenger 7.0 and it was mainly down to that. Best of luck.

nope didnt work,if anythign its worse. I have a feeling its to do with the windows firewall,i want to add a exception of msn 7 to it but i dunno where msn 7 installs to in program files because theres a msn messenger folder but its not msn 7 :|

dou you have a router?

if so you can safely shut down windows firewall and set up the router to be your main firewall.

from experince i noticed that it is a bad idea to have multiple firewalls on a computer due to conflicts
