Annoying it is written by a French author isn't it?
But it is a pretty good book, packed with hundreds of pics, including a lot of "reconstructions" showing the kit and weapons used by the various units. Most of the pics are from open sources so don't expect to discover anything extraordinary.
The translation could have been better, some french acronyms haven't been translated for example.
The author is the editor of the RAIDS magazine that's been publishing for over 17 years now and he knows his stuff.
I have to say ultra specialists will very likely pick holes in it because it is mostly geared towards the general public and it must have a certain number of mistakes likely to be spotted by experts in the field but I still think it's an enjoyable book; plus it gives an insight into many non US SF for a change.

First of all it's Micheletti. Secondly, your "bloody frog" is an ex-paratrooper and one of the best military writers and reporters around.
The book is excellent. Brilliant photography including quite a few exclusive pictures by Yves Debay. One of the trademarks of Micheletti is the accuracy of his information, even in RAIDS, of which he is the editor. In the English version of the book, there are a few glaring mistakes in the translation. One of the best thing about the book are the reconstructions of different special forces in Afghanistan. And the mere fact that non-US special forces makes this book worthwhile.
If you bought "French Special Forces" and liked it, you should buy this one too.
