Do even speak or understand Russian? He never said anything bad about T80. He did not even mention any Russian tank model in particular. Are you trying to be an ass?
All he said that M1 is simpler to start and transmission is different and it's closer to automobile then a tank. that was it, not better or worse. So, please STFU and don't start another F****** flame war idiot.

Yes, this video again proves that Russian assault rifles are superior to M4/M16 series....and this comes from people who compared both and speaking from experience.

Soldier speaking about weapons.

"Their weapons are affraid of dirt, you constantly have to take care of it. Clean it, oil it.

After firing some magazines
you absolutely have to oil the parts so that there are no jams.

Our weapons are more reliabale"

Don't let the untidy look fool you. Russian soldiers are hardcore and always shaven, if everything else ain't shiny.

Yes the abrams is quite the limo compared to the T series (from my uneducated visual knowledge of the russian machines). On the other hand it is overweight, a gas guzzler and requires constant maintenance and support.

But no doubt driving one is fun. It rides like a car, but they wouldn't let me drive it. I coudln't get assigned to tank duty for all my time there. arugh!

Sodiers that wear same uniforms & bullet-proof vests, i.e. soldiers that follow uniformity are usually 'grunts' & soldiers that look "like bunch of unprofessional goons" are elite (i.e. specnaz) !

they only look that way because they are trusted to make good decisions with their equipment. 'Grunts' are given standard issue equipment because it is proven to work and they haven't proven themselves to be able to make good decisions with equipment.

Different regiments/divisions/branches of Armed Forces usually have different camos. The Russian Army had different camo's because they operated in alot of different enviroments. Multi-purpose units usually wear different camo's because of logistic inabilities to change out camo's, or the soldiers personal choice.

Please don't call Russian soldiers unprofessional. They're highly professional. I have a buddy who was a Russian soldier, he speaks of their discipline highly.

Same here...I would rather own something more reliable, less $$$ on insurance and less of a chance of someone braking into my house and of course less time at the gas station.

But that's not the point............. If I had a choice, original AK 74 all the way over everything and anything else

Also, one soldier said that the Bradley has auto transmission, and it is like a car...However, I don't know what he meant. (I would prefer automatic transmission since it is easier to use but don;'t know whether that makes a difference in battle conditions)

Russian-U.S. Exercise Torgau 2005 started yesterday. For a week, the U.S. and Russia soldiers will not only listen about the military doctrines and combat tactics, but also train each other on their army’s equipment, share battle skills and conduct live fire battle drills.

140 soldiers from the U.S. Army’s 1st Armored Division (Germany) arrived at Chkalovsky military airport at 6:30 a.m. Monday. Two hours later, fifty of them were standing parade ground at the Russian Army Combined Arms Academy in Lefortovo, waiting for the opening of the Russian-U.S. Exercise Torgau 2005. The remaining officers and soldiers went to the Vystrel training center in the Moscow Region’s town of Solnechnogorsk, where they got down to studying Russia’s weapons, tanks and infantry combat vehicles.

It shows a Russian soldier firing SAW with blanks and than he made a coment about reliablity. Actually it known issue, for SAW it doesn't like blank rounds. With live rounds it's not bad at all.
