Personally, i think greenday is a calibre of punk. I also think they are sellouts. Their music used to be good. but now they care more about using a political message to sell alot of records and reap in the cash then they do about making good music.

Anybody who could assign deep meaning and thought provoking commentary to Green Day isn't looking hard enough elsewhere. These are the guys who started their careers singing about jacking off, and dressing up as women. I like a lot of their stuff (since it's pretty damn easy to play) - but I've never considered them anything more than an amusing diversion.
