Engineers Crush Car With Tank for United Way

Edmonton Garrison - Armour Troop, 1 Combat Engineer Regiment sponsored a car crush, which involved driving an Armoured Engineering Vehicle (AEV) over a car, December 5, 2003.

The AEV is an Engineer vehicle that

provides engineer support to mechanized combat units
is capable of dozing, ripping, excavating, craning, grappling, welding, cutting, winching, and towing
is based on the Leopard C-2 tank, but without a 105 mm gun
has a weight of 41,750 kilogram
has a maximum speed of 62 mph

Corporal Robert Sangster, engineer, 15 Support Squadron, 1 Combat Engineer Regiment, won the raffle, which raised about $350 for the United Way.

The donated vehicle was a 1988 Pontiac Parisienne.

sometimes you can post a decent thread, but then you usually ruin it with the help of others. This time however you've kipped the thought provoking bit and skipped straight to the posting crap bit.

People will pay to see something unusual. Now where i'm from its pretty unusual to see vehicles squashing other vehicles. Maybe its because i live in a swamp but then and again maybe its because it is peculiar to see vehicles crushing other vehicles. There nothing bizare about people paying to see wierd stuff. Been going on for yonks.
