Generally about Op: Iraqi Freedom, and seizing the airport being one of several events in the movie

that's really broad. you should narrow it down to a particular event or 2 or like following a certain soldier or a certain group... otherwise it'd be a long freakin movie. i'd like to see a movie from the point of view of an iraqi soldier...trained his whole life to get a chance to kill an american pig devil and when finally at the lines when he came face to face with the americans he pissed his pants, ripped off all his clothes and grabbed a white flag and ran crying to the great satan soldiers.

Nice, there would be scenes of that too... I agree it should be about a specific group/event... But I'd just like to see a very general LONG movie(I heard gods/generals was 4 hours, why not this?) with 90% action like black hawk down--Showing action scene to action scene-- From the beginning of US Army SF operating inside Iraq working with indigineous personnel to the start of the F117 bombing over Baghdad to the ground troops moving in and circling Baghdad... It would really kick@$$
**BTW, Jessicas rescue too!

...yeah man! They could make it like '24' and show the whole thing in split screen in real time. Duuuuude! that would rule. It would be, like 400 hours long. Right on! p-)
Then they can give all box office receipts to the families of the dead Coalition troops.

How about a movie about what real Rangers wear?!!! You know, the ETLBV, Ranger RACK, MOLLE II FLC, ALICE LC-2 Suspenders, RAV, SPEAR BALCS Ranger Armor, SPEAR ELCS, etc..?? They could call it "Ready to War".
And the world premier should be at the Steubenville Bijou.
It had better not have in cussing though...

wait! i have a better idea! why not a movie about an ex delta force guy from ohio that after getting out the military starts up a christian airsoft corporation that becomes the biggest airsoft manufacturer in the world and teaches how "through pretending to kill people, jesus will love you more, as long as you don't cuss while doing it." from there he will start branch companies that sell things like "temporary military insignia tattoos" and "shirts that make people think you are in the military". that'd be swell..

Don't Forget to have a few scenes of the Republican Party padding their bank accounts by awarding contracts for rebuilding Iraq to thier friends, tax free under the heading of U.N. Humanitarian Aid.

I can't understand the logic here
you're seeing it live on TV
but you want them to make a movie about it
From the sounds of some of you people you'd get the impression they'd gone over there for a pissup.

It's all fun and games until someone takes you seriously...
There's nothing very exciting about a slam dunk victory. Yeah sure, we had casualties, but in the general scope of things, the SF cleared the way for the regular units to sweep through the rest of the country in relative ease with an admittedly small force compared to last time. I think the movie about Afghanistan that's coming out at some point, will be more interesting. Unlike the Iraqi's who we wanted to surrender, we were interested in killing every Al Qaeda we saw, and were dissapointed when/if they surrendered. The operations in Afghanistan were under significantly harsher conditions, and the battles were very difficult. You can't get armour into those mountains so it had to be done on foot, and with air strikes that had only half or less of normal effectiveness. It's one of the reasons why I was so dissapointed when they canceled Profiles from the Front Line which showed what a difficult job they had/have.
Do you mean a theatrical movie or tv movie about Afghanistan? Where can I find information about it?
There's a theatrical movie in the works.
The trade paper claims that Sharif focuses on "the conquest of the Afghan city by Northern Alliance forces, led by 12 U.S. Special Ops soldiers."
