Whoah, looks like a great movie. I think it's gonna be even better than Baran...

Baran, for those who haven't seen it, is about the lives of Afghan refugees living in Iran who are struggling to make a living for themselves in a place where they aren't liked very much. This movie shows how Afghans are treated [to a degree] in Iran, and how they can't work there, and whatnot. The Iranians call them "Afghan" and their intentions are bad, they use this term as a deragatory word, [sort of like the "N" word in America] to refer to them. Anyways, it's not that she can't work as a girl [like the trailor mentions, it is but not entirely] it's that she's Afghan, and so are all of the other workers in the Contruction area, and if the contractors find out...well you guys should see it. This was not filmed in Afghanistan, but in Iran. And she's Hazarah [hence the oriental features]...and Hazarahs were heavily persecuted against by the Taliban [the massacres at Yakowlang, the massacres at Bamiyan--All Hazarahs]...But this other movie looks great, and I'm hoping it was filmed in Afghanistan...

The movie Kandahar (pre-9/11, made when the Taliban was still in power) does a pretty good job of that, if people want to remind themselves.
