I was just surfing the web and I was thinking after reading Tane Angle’s post about his daughter getting married. Congratulations Tane sorry I did not say something when you posted. I was just thinking about my oldest daughter being around the same age. I think that here boyfriend might do the same. It just got me thinking and I wanted to see if there are any other fathers here. I really wanted to post some photos of the family but they did not really warm up to the idea of the photos being on the net. Just wondering is there a way I could post them and they would be right-click disabled? That way I would be able to share them with you all. My Wife just does not want the photos to be here then on some other web site across the web. I think you know what I mean.

I have two sons & three daughters. I have told you guys this before. I should say that I started my fatherhood as a teen parent. Something that I hope my children will never have to face and so far so good. I will go in order from oldest to youngest. My oldest daughter Nicole is 21 years old, Rebecca 19 yrs. old, Dennis Jr. 17 yrs. old(name after yours truly), Mike 15 yrs. old, Alicia 12 yrs. old. We almost had another child every two years. I married my wife after I found out that she was pregnant. With five kids it can be very hard. But two are grown up and have gone away to collage Nicole is at NYU and lives in Tarrytown just outside the city she live in our second home. I alwas liked to spend the summers near NYC, Becca goes to school at University of Rochester. My wife’s name is Colette.

Thanks,
Dennis

It is possible to post pictures in such maner, but you should do that with use of java applets like in http://securityarms.com ,javascript not always works as it can be easyli disabled, there is no ideal seolution as any picture you can see on your computer can be screencaptured, cuted from surounding aplications and posted in other place(PrintScreen, then paste it in paint, convert to jpg format and spread it further or... :). But who realy wants to spread your pictures around the net, Just don't give us to detailed personall data and everything should be okay, and remember to remove those pics from server after te topic vanish...

It sounds like you've done a damn fine job considering the circumstances. My dad was adopted and later grew up in California and Missouri. The parents couldn't pay for his college so he enlisted. Made a career out of it and somewhere along the way, I was born. I can't imagine being a teen father or being kicked out of the house basically so I have lots of respect for those that have and are doing alright.

Yeah it was hard but the Job pays well. I had the support of my parents and hers to. I was never kicked out of the house. I alwas had a job with my fathers construction company and later in life with McKeesRocks D. W. Firm. I moved out and on my own about a year or two later.

Now I have Five photos that I will post three of them are Nicole and Becca and one is with two of their cousins. My brothers only two kids.(they look alot alike.)And one is of my wife. I will find one with me in it with them to.

No sorry necessary, Dennis. p-) Thanks for the congratulations. Five children in the matter of about a decade? My hat is off to you.

I have a twenty-five year old daughter, had a son a few years younger than her, and about eight years ago adopted infant triplet boys. My daughter was still home for that first year or so, so that was a huge help, what with changing diapers and what not. Maybe that year was so traumatizing that it formed her attitude since than that she is in no particular rush at all to get married and have kids. Don't get me wrong, she very much loves her fiancée, and her brothers, but she just is very slow-paced with starting a family.

There are some real bad parts, but also some real good parts, to being a parent. This is my theory on love, be it between romantic lovers, best friends/comrades, or family members. Going into the relationship, one knows there will be hard times and down points. No matter what, sooner or later, the two people will be parted. Be it through war, or sickness, or old age, eventually one will leave the other behind. And that's ok. It hurts to admit it, but that's ok. For me at least, this is a small part of what I mean by the words "I love you."

I mean that I have thought about it and come to the conclusion that all those bad times and fights that may come during the course of the relationship will be made up for by the good. I mean that I know my heart will be broken, perhaps not for fifty years or more, but sooner or later it will be broken; but I know that the joy of the intervening years will more than make up for that heartbreak. I'd rather feel the sheer joy of being a parent, knowing it is accompanied by heartbreak, than to never feel good or bad emotions at all.

Yeah, enough philosophizing from me today. (Waiting for California Joe to make a remark like "stay off the weed, man." p-) ) Have a good one all, and just some thoughts...

That gave me goosebumps. It brought back memories of seeing my babies for the first time. That's amazing isn't it? I remember tearing up when I heard my daughter's heartbeat for the first time. There is absolutely nothing better! It's an amazing process. Enjoy it, and don't forget to treat your wife like a queen. She deserves it! Her body is taking a beating! :)
My best wishes for you and your family. I hope you have a beautiful, healthy baby and that your wife has a VERY easy delivery!

Thanks, farmgirl. Delivery should be at the 25th of June....

@ Hermannek:

Where is what? Hmm, let me give you a hint: you can only see the baby's head from the side... For real, can't you see it? Nose, mouth, chin are clearyl visible, you can also see 3 fingers of the left fist.

I took everything on video-cam too ;) You can see the baby moving around real fine, rubbing its eye, kickin', wavin' and so on... That's really moving to see your kid for the first time - although it's only 12cm long...
