Didn't like BF,too cartoony to me.Course its a game,but all I hear is "it's so real" crap.This looks the same.Can't remember the name of the other one that's supposed to come out.Supposedly lets you setup ambushes and whatnot....now that'd be fun.

Im with him OFP is way better.

I couldnt ever get into the BF1942, its just too overwhelmed with punks and lack of realism. I could see if it was sold as an arcade game, but if you sell a game and say its realistic on the webpage and its not, thats just ass cheese.

That shouldnt be held against the game, just the pilot. The lowest i ever fly on any flightsim is 50 feet for fixed wings, down to 10 in a helo.

Low level fast flight is most effective for fast jets ina high threat area, as it keeps them below the line of site of most radar systems.

If intel reports many radar guided SAMs, the planes fly low and fast. If AAA or MANPADs are the threat, high is better. anything over 10,000 feet and you are pretty much in the clear as far as all but the biggest AAA guns go, and anything over 12,000 and your clear of almost all IR guided SAMs.

I agree with the OFP fans that game kicks serious ass. I await the sequal with great anticipation. Anyways I think that BF 1942 and vietnam are definately too wammy kablammy to even be considered remotely realistic. Like since when could one person drive, relaod and fire a sherman tank hello how bout a nice order of smoking pole. I wont deny that BF is great for when you want a shoot'em up action game thats fun and crazy at the same time. All is good and the vietnam game looks like its had some improvements anyways. All shall be happy

Vietcong is probably one of the most intense games out there. The firefights are absolutely insane, especially if you have surround sound or a nice set of headphones.

Roger, Vietcong gets a 10/10 for ambience. The sound your feet make running down stream, actually makes my feet cold.
