3. Don't post threads with TITLES IN ALL CAPS.

I suggest you check their website, they'll have all the information you need.

Yes. Do you have a college degree?

To do anything good, you gotta have, at least, a Bachelors Degree.

Yes. Just remember there are lots of other requirements, depending upon the position you apply for (experience, education, security clearance issues etc.). But being born in another country etc. is not a deal breaker in and of itself.

Found it under a minute...

The Agency does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, ***, national origin, disability, age, or ****** orientation in granting, denying, or revoking security clearances.

box???

Id just like to second what everyone else said.

Different jobs at the CIA require different skills.

TO be an operative you would need military or police background, and technology, marksmanship and language skills would be helpful as well.

Where as if you wanted to work with signals intelligence or analyze images a computer technology background would be more adequate.

One way or another a degree is most useful, as is military experience.

They have lots of jobs that need to be done, and each job requires different skills and education/.

it should also be noted that being born in another country might do the very opposite of hurting you... Having people with many different backgrounds and cultures is helpful in an agency that badly needs more powerful Human intelligence resources.

True, but being in another nation's military is different. He'd for sure go through some tests.

I read in the newspaper that the lie detector isn't as credible as everyone thinks it is. For whatever reason, some people telling the truth, might fail the test, and those lieing, might pass it. So it doesn't work very well, that's why court never uses it. Wonder if CIA does anyway though...

The CIA makes you take a lie detector test.

The real lie detector is the person administering the test. A person concentrating on fooling the machine will show some signs. It's not an exact science, but with experience, a person can learn to recognize the telltale signs we all display when we lie. Or so I read.
