What the hell is going on in here?

I read threads saying new users registration is off, that the board's quality is in an all-time low, that there is flamewars, wannbes, yanks vs wussies everywhere.

Guess I'm spending too much time on the real world :P

Truth is I get the feeling that things were better when I joined up: there were considerably less posts, but better in quality. Those were the days when Hist2004 posted (almost daily) really interesting stuff on the History and Tactics section.
