U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, Accessions Support Brigade

FORT BENNING, Ga. - The U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit will host the USA Shooting National Championships for International Rifle and International Pistol June 16 to 26 at Phillips Range and the Pool International Shooting Complex. The USA Shooting Shotgun National Championships will be July 13 to 23 at Fort Carson, Colo.

All matches start at 9 a.m. The competition schedule is as follows:

June 16 - Official training: Men’s and Women’s Air Pistol at Pool Indoor Range and Men’s ****e and Three-Position Free Rifle at Pool Outdoor Range.
June 17 - Matches: Men’s and Women’s Air Pistol at Pool Indoor Range and Men’s ****e and Three-Position Free Rifle at Pool Outdoor Range.
June 18 - Matches, finals and awards: Men’s and Women’s Air Pistol at Pool Indoor Range and Men’s ****e and Three-Position Free Rifle at Pool Outdoor Range.
June 19 - Official training: Men’s Free Pistol at Pool Outdoor Range, Women’s Sport Pistol at Phillips Range and Men’s and Women’s Air Rifle at Pool Indoor Range.
June 20 - Matches: Men’s Free Pistol at Pool Outdoor Range, Women’s Sport Pistol at Phillips Range and Men’s and Women’s Air Rifle at Pool Indoor Range.
June 21 - Matches, finals and awards: Men’s Free Pistol at Pool Outdoor Range, Women’s Sport Pistol at Phillips Range and Men’s and Women’s Air Rifle at Pool Indoor Range.
June 22 - Official training: Men’s Rapid Fire Pistol at Phillips Range and Women’s ****e and Three Position Sport Rifle at Pool Outdoor Range.
June 23 - Matches: Men’s Rapid Fire Pistol at Phillips Range and Women’s ****e and Three Position Sport Rifle at Pool Outdoor Range.
June 24 - Matches, finals and awards: Men’s Rapid Fire Pistol at Phillips Range and Women’s ****e and Three Position Sport Rifle at Pool Outdoor Range.
June 25 - Matches: Men’s Center Fire Pistol, Men’s Standard Pistol and Junior Men’s Sport Pistol at Phillips Range.
June 26 - Matches, finals and awards: Men’s Center Fire Pistol, Men’s Standard Pistol and Junior Men’s Sport Pistol at Phillips Range.

(Formed in 1956 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower to raise the standards of marksmanship throughout the U.S. Army, the Army Marksmanship Unit is assigned to the Accessions Support Brigade of the U.S. Army Accessions Command. The Marksmanship Unit trains its Soldiers to win competitions and enhances combat readiness through train-the-trainer clinics, research and development.
