Vehicle Description

This maybe the first ever aircraft carrier (decommissioned 2001) available for auction at EBAY !
But the auction was delisted not long ago due to accusation wrongly made by a suspicious customer. We showed evidence that this vessel is DECOMMISSIONED and therefore not Ordanance. We are shipbroker and not arms dealer. We shipbrokers do not have the ownership of the vessels we sell, as none of the shipbrokers does, just as your real estate broker cannot ask you to transfer the title of your house to him before he start selling propery for you.

I am speechless!!!

I can see it now...

Great Britain - Five trillion.
An aircraft carrier - Fifty million.
Your own country with your own Navy - Priceless.

But that is not all, the navigation instruments and satellite guidance system and other great instruments cost hundreds of millions of dollars when they were new

Its BS.

A ship constructed in 1945 wouldnt be able to accomodate Satellite guidance systems worth millions. Maybe a garmin GPS worth 90 bucks, but thats teh extent of it.

After having recently seen the excellent Pirates of the Carribean movie I'm tempted to put in a bid, hire a crew of scurvy b@stards, and tear through the Carribean like sh!t through a goose taking down all those juicy cruiseships.

But since that's likely to be highly illegal, I think someone should turn it into the world's only live gladiator combat venue serving beer/liquor/donuts/hot-wings 24/7. It could be sailed around the world to every major city by the sea for all degenerate males to enjoy:

Yeah, I would have given you five, but the starting bid was at US $6'000'000! We're just a bit shy of that. Just a bit. ;)

I can't believe people are bidding on it. Highly doubt they will come up with the money.

You'd be amazed over how much equipment they can cram into a navy ship...

"Hmmm.. Low on space you say? Well... What about these, "sleeping quarters" we don't need those do we?"

Any ship over 20m and almost any age can be fitted with state of the art SatNav gear, most navy boats have pretty basic Nav gear and its only the survey and oceaneering vessels both military and civil that have the high grade Nav gear the big deal with military Nav gear is its tougher with more built in redundancy. It would be a lot cheaper to buy a container ship and refit it for aircraft use newer propulsion plant for starters, this old tub will end up on a beach in Pakistan being cut up, there is some quality metals on them old warships.
