I Am a member formerly known as "Caraway". Do you think I should go, or do you think I deserve a second chance? Believe me, I can tell you how does it REALLY feel to get banned. Not so nice. I can tell you how it is to socialice to your old friends...while at the same time you are a stranger to them.

Anyway, I consider myself as a prime example of the administrative move that is called as "the banning"... I do not flame anymore and I consider "banning" as a normal procedure in here. I believe in banning. Banning gave me a second change to build my persona (as a new member). It is not so bad, just leave the extra bull**** away and you will make it! If you can..., so Hood bann ppl, but don't bann their IPs... They just might be normal, unflaming ppl, that do realize how they have ****ed up.

I decided to return for a while and lie to the people that know me. I told this for a number of ppl when I returned. Jack Mehoff, Stavka and Maine Finn for an example...


I then decide to make a thread about it. Because I think it might help the administration of this board and provide the members an another point of view to this whole thing.

The norm on a php forum is to ban an IP. If you have a dynamic IP this obviously only blocks that single IP address, which is how those foolish enough return. Usually that will result in just banning the entire IP range used to post from.

It's like in training, if you screw up and die, you're dead for quite a while, and ignored by everybody. Maybe we could like, sanction people who flame too much, ignore them and they're comments. Maybe that might work aswell.

But heck, that ain't necessary as long as we got temporary ban, which I think should be more widely used.
