how old is your house? and where is it?
thing is where I live we have frickin old buildings.
mine's about 150 years old, and a student house so it's dank, dirty and cold. But then, compare that to the ones inside the city walls (which are about 900 years, guessing that is) it's practically new-build.

Im living in a brand new house (approx 2 years old). The house we had before burned down, se we decided to build here again because we like the area alot. The family has been in this part of Canada for at least a good 50 years now. My dad's lived on this property around 22 years. So its great, we own alot of property along the river and my house here is pretty close to it also.

My house was built in the late 1800's sometime around 1872. I believe it is on of the first homes that were built in the town I currently live in. It was owned by some rich stock broker guy who owned most of the land that the town was built around. Therefore I live right smack in the middle of the place on a fairly large property surrounded by what is becoming a maze of suburbian homes. It's good however cause my dad runs his own company from another building on our land and he's been doing that for 18 years. It's a computer satellite business and blah blah blah p-)
dont really want to reveal much more. No offense to anyone but yah know what mommy says about the internet

I don't know how old my house is...It's not actually a house. It's a condo that i bought with my "war money"
Kinda sucked b/c all my money was going home to pay for the condo, and when I finally got to go to turkey for RR I didn't have much cash. Meanwhile people are buying tailored suits, motorcycles, and guns dirt cheap. :|

It probably sucked at the time, B, but I'm sure you're glad you did it now. You can't curl up in front of a motorcycle at night. Well... I suppose you could... but who would want to? :D

WOW here is very diferent..it is very unusual to have an old house...my house is about 30 years old...but it was rebuilt 3 years ago
It says 1998 on my cardboard box...
Yeah in Europe there are a lot. Houses tend to be more expensive then elsewhere, they are well build to last for ages. My parents house in london is only 30 years old, but that happens a lot because of redovelopment especially in places hit by the blitz. Canterbury where I live is mostly old houses and ugly buildings from the sixties. But some of the hotels and pubs are as old as 600 years old and they are a few mentioned in shakespeare and chaucer's canterbury tales.
the cathedral, remaining parts of the castle and city walls are all medival.

in the second picture the big building in the back of the picture is a nightclub and my house is the next street. Which explains why it's old.[/img]
