The ppsh was/is actually a very good weapon. Very reliable and you can lay down quite a bit of ammo with it, quite accurately :D

yes it's old and still in use...but it works damn well. only because a weapond is old it doesn't mean it's **** ;) (colt 1911, MG3, and many other..)

Its an american soldier with an AK over his m16, not the greatest so I'll keep looking.

Accuracy (spelling?) ainīt really that big of an issue in room to room fighting :) You just point the weapon and press the trigger ;) at 5 meters or less itīs almost hard to miss p-)

Well, very true, of course. But it is nice to know that you're using a reliable weapon that does HAVE accuracy.

The only reason for using the ppsh-41 alongside m-4 is the large amount of ammo in ready to use form . The drum from a ppsh-41 holds 71 rounds of 7.62x25mm so when you clear a hostile house just spray the bullets . For close combat it is great although completely archaic

so.. pick up a SAW or an RPK.. i would figure less chances of jams and old stuff falling apart.. i think they just found it, and kept it as they were clearing out the house.. not taking it into ops with them as a secondary.

pick up a SAW or an RPK
it is a lot heavier
the Shpagin compared to the rpk is quite compact so some soldiers carry it when close combat is expected . Also many vehicles have a ak with a drum magazine or something as in-case-of-trouble spray-weapon
