Basically it's all speculation as to what happened. There are many different ideas going around as to what occured. They have tried 8 times to contact the lander but all have failed. More attempts will be made by "Mars Express" on the 5th and onwards to contact "Beagle". Here's to hoping that it works out for them.

Fantastic about NASA's early mission success. Good luck to them !

I heard that NASA is going to try to use tonight's lander as a radio relay station for the British Beagle.

Hopefully it works. Nice of NASA (if it's true) to help them out.

I'm outraged that America did not go to the United Nations to get permission to land on Mars!

Those arrogant Americans are going it alone again.

It was a joke. Take it for what it is.

It's a joke that will spark the thread on to a whole 'nother topic, which would most likely lead to flaming.

Which it already is........

Back on track, "Spirit" is going through preparations to get mobile. It will spend another 9 days on the landing platform then move out to begin it's searches and experiments. Here's to hoping that they find what they were looking for !!
