A U.S. Apache attack helicopter crashed in Iraq on June 27, 2005 and recovery teams were sent to find out the fate of its two-man crew, the U.S. military said. Wahid Taysir, a former Israeli soldier who was convicted of shooting British peace activist Tom Hurndall in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on April 11, 2003, breaks free from police officers to attack the press after his conviction in the army's southern command military court on June 27, 2005 in Castina, Israel. The court convicted Taysir of manslaughter in the killing of the 22-year-old pro-Palestinian activist, obstruction of justice and giving false testimony. Hurndall died after nine months in a coma.
