OFP is the most realistic military sim out there. Real life military forces even used a modified version of OFP for training.

i didn't say that it is not realistic...but a pc game has to be funny...and in that game u receive 1 shot and then u can't move :bash:
It is not funny to walk for 3 min and then u re killed by 1 shot.

It's called realism, and I find realism to be fun. Do better next time you play and you'll last longer than 3 minutes.

a good mulitplayer game that ive been playing for 3 years is Day of Defeat u can dl it for free :D no tanks and stuff though :( but the best combat out there as far as video games woot

I remember that in the first ver of the DoD the player after jumping was so tired that u couldn't move for a while....I don't know if this was modified

Nope still the same, there just trying to make it realistic, so if you run or jump you get tired, but it goes back up in like 2secs :D

I like DOD and I've played it since the day it was released (when was that, sometime in Jan. 2001?), but recently the ultra-fast gameplay has been boring me and I don't really play anymore. I'm really looking forward to some of the HL2 mods that will pop up though, especially as they'll have vehicle support.

I just got BF 1942, it's pretty cool. I really suck at flying, but I'm slowly getting better. I played online a bit, but I kept getting whupped so I decided to go back and just play the single player.

Ivy, take a look at Resistance & Liberation (www.resistanceandliberation.com), they're aiming for hyper realism (even historical missions/maps and whatnot) and the first campaign will focus on the 82nd Abn. during the Normandy invasion.
