View Full Version : Russian marines land in Sweden
Russian troops have for the first time participated in an exercise in Sweden. One russian marine infantry platoon was integrated as part of a swedish amphious company in a simulated attack on a bridgehead.
A brief but very symbolic exercise. It's really weird to see russian troops on the holy soil. The demonstration included no firing and the exercise only lasted for a few hours.
Here is the swedish company commander onboard the Kaliningrad for planning.

Gushin??? Is he the younger brother/ son of the captain p-) of theWhisky-class sub U-137? ( The Soviet navy performed their own little landing exercise in Hårsfjärden in 1982...) What are the Gushins looking for in Sweden???Meatballs? Blonde girls? Potatismos? :D
Haha, you're right.. That's weird.
Last Gushin visit was at gunpoint.

must have sucked for those boys in the btr-80, got a little wet I'm sure of it.
but really it is good to see the russians opening up alot more as of late and doing training with alot of different countries. I wouldn't mind training with them once just to see the standards of their military are where they're apparently at.

Russia's population includes a lot of ethnicities, have you noticed they share a border with China, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan?
