Nope... I'm not the least bit homophobic. One of my very best friends is gay. My only concern is kids teasing my Carson, because of the Carson on the show. I still love the name. It was my grandpa's middle name.

I'm one of the most tolerant people you'd ever want to meet. :)

You're right, I'm a teacher, and I love it. I don't come from the most culturally diverse area of the country, but one has to be tolerant just to deal with personality differences in high school students. (My favorite age to teach by the way.)

You don't have any "chick" teachers? Most of the teachers in my building are women. Just move to Iowa. I'll get you in my classes. Naturally there's a waiting list..... ;)
