IDF's AF pilot course ended last thursday in a beautifull ceremony held in hatzerim AFB. this is the first course of the "IAF pilot a
cademy" - the course takes 3 years (until now 2), and provides the fresh pilots with BA degree as well as the coveted pilot wings.

Great pictures, you can see the new Ground surveilance jet there and the Apache Longbow.

Fot training only.

There's nothing like sitting on a rocket in order to learn how to fly :D

for a while, there was a set of magisteres that were a common visitor to my local airport. I miss them, they were cool jets.

Nachshon comes in two version: An air control platform, it can track planes anywhere outside of the country's borders or an inteliigence gathering plane.
The plane is a Gulfstream 5 (G5), fitted with ELTA and IAF's equipment, it can stay in the air for up to 15 hours without refueling.
Each one costs 100mil. dollars.

Thanks Modelet.
The plane looks similar to the British ASTOR also based on a Gulfstream plane.
