:P
I've been wondering why there were so many thyroid problems in this area and I'm not joking. Even cancer cases are high.
Reminds me of the former USSR immigrants I met in Germany. So many had cancer, as did many of the eastern Europeans.
Plz, not trying to turn this into a political thread, but the cases are real and out there.

well wasnt there a big problem with those uranium tipped shells that were used in the gulf war, or wherever.
not as in, the shells would basically turn a tank into molten steel, but the poisoning in the ground from the uranium etc....

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure about that. I have friends that worked around that stuff for much of their career and they're fine.
Others say they're not.... Let's see how Afghanistan and Iraq go...
If the stuff is bad, hey, I'm 100% that the people involved get free medical care and cash for what they went through!

true....still Uranium tipped shells, bit harsh for an enemy tank, dont stand much of a chance.

You're right, Easy C. Plus, it was depleted uranium. :P
But in all seriousness, I've seen guys at the VA hospital at Kirtland AFB hardly a few years older than me that look like old men. It's sad to see.
If it was the DU shells, the government should help them! If it was leaking chemicals, Saddam and his chronies should pay!
Anyway, just saying I'm heading out on thursday to check this place out. No digging etc allowed heh.. wish I had a giger meter. ;)

yeah, I heard the poisoning turns your skin to crap, and you look like you've aged a lot.
Hey also, do tanks today use depleted uranium shells?
and make sure you look after yourself.

Yup. The 120mm cannon uses DU.
Hey, thank you! I'll be ok. I won't stay in the area too long because my mom and dad will be going along :D

It's just that if you die, then I'll never be able to play BF2 online with someone I know!!! ;)
Anyway, I dont know about the whole DU thing, I mean its a smart way to basically vaporise something, still, its just not cricket.
