Buggery.

Some poor wanker is probably finding himself rather embarassed now.

But i'd expect the air force to notify the mall when they intend to keep jets in a holding pattern over it, to avoid such misunderstandings.

Mint reply!

Yeah dink, majority of people who have a job are already up at work at 9:11 am.

No offensive to late and night shifters meant.

That's worth a x2 rofl
So true.

Someone send Tom MacRae of Peoria his assclown award and a coupon for the services of monster.com.

Rest In Peace, Cpt. Jeremy Fresques.

The assclown award is usually the forte of 11F5S, although I think he has seen worse so he wouldnt be worthy of it.
And actually it would be too much effort to award it , to someone who isnt even worth the thought.

Actually I think this calls for a Photoshop mastermind to step in, take Micheal Crooks picture, put Micheal Crook aka. Tom MacRae of Peoria and a big owned underneath it.

Wow, Im so glad that some people have so much free time that they can write a nasty-gram to a newspapper for being woken up at 9 AM. I know this individual had no idea what was going but its not like he couldn't go back to sleep. And what about the pilots and ground crew? What time did they have to be up at to get in the air by 9. This guy needs a life.

Oh, trust me, you wouldn't believe the letters that come in. I used to work in Airfield Management in the USAF -and we got all the complaint letters. It was a SAC base and we had some pretty heavy gear (FB-111's, KC-135A' & "E" models). There's nothing quite like a KC-135 "A" model running water injection on a February morning. We'd get all kinds of jackasses writing in "there are no communists here in Dover NH - what are you protecting us from?" etc. As a matter of fact, I still have copies of one particularly assclownical letter - along with a joke reply that we penned at the time (but of course didn't send). Maybe I'll post it.

Most bases have "noise abatement" rules - certain times of day for engine runs & generations - plus standard approach & departure routes that try to keep things quiet. The majority of the problems would come from transient aircraft who weren’t from the base who, er shall we say - would operate under their own set of rules.

C'mon, if you live near an Air Force base you should be used to airplanes flying around and ****.

Got no sympathy. I live within EYESIGHT and a 2 minute jog from the flight line and the aircraft performing operations from there dont bother me a bit. They also happen to be F16's which i think are among the quietest jets in that you only hear them once they are close enough to identify the weapons loadout and the noise abates roughly 4-7 seconds later. Now B52's...those are some loud ass planes to be serenaded to at 1 in the morning

In my opinion, its a selling point, If I'm looking at a house, and military jets are doing low flybys, I'm buying.
