THEY are beautiful, innocent . . . and missing.

One is Christian, the other Muslim. And neither has been seen since bombers brought carnage to London two days ago.

Yesterday the families of Laura Webb, 29, and 20-year-old Shahara Islam were united in fear and panic as they desperately sought news of their loved ones.

The indiscriminate rush-hour bombings left 49 confirmed dead — with fears 20 more may have perished.

Dozens of friends and relatives were last night searching for missing loved ones, praying they were alive.

In scenes reminiscent of those after New York’s 9/11 atrocity, many toured hospitals and makeshift morgues for information.

Posters appealing for help were put up on walls and lampposts at the sites of Thursday’s four al-Qaeda bombings.

Searchers clutched snaps of their loved ones even stopping strangers to beg for assistance.

Secretary Laura vanished after leaving Islington for her Paddington office.

She would have boarded a Tube at King’s Cross at about the time when a blast erupted there, killing 21 people.

Brother David, 38, told how she waved goodbye to boyfriend Chris Driver, saying: “See you this evening” — but never came home.

David and Chris, 28, went from hospital to hospital yesterday in a bid to trace her, while her parents Hazel and George waited in vain by the phone.

Teacher David said: “We are all battered by this. Every scenario’s been through our minds.

“We’re going through hell, but the hope is keeping us going.”

Bank worker Shahara has not been seen since taking a District Line train towards her North London office on Thursday.

She is believed to have changed at Liverpool Street. Seven died at nearby Aldgate.

Shahara’s uncle Nazmul Hasan has been leading the search for her, because parents Shamsul and Ramena are too distraught.

Nazmul, 25, said: “I got a missed call from her about an hour after the incident — so I’m hoping she’s somewhere. I can see the agony this has caused.”

Shahara, of Bangladeshi origin, lives with her parents, brother Anharul Mohammed, 17, and 13-year-old sister Tasmeen in Plaistow, East London.

Last night the family branded the bombers “despicable”.

Mum Ramena said: “We need to know where Shahara is, that she’s OK".

I have a mate from Aberdeen. His family are quite keen travellers, its not uncommon for them to be in London. I phoned him yesterday with instructions to e-mail me back letting me know hes alright as soon as he gets home and gets the message left on his answering machine. No response from him yet, I do hope hes alright!

The deaths of these two beautiful women is of course tragic and a real scandal.

But it is also a moral scandal to cynically use dead peoples, who are not even in their tombs, to push a political agenda. Because the mainstream medias are currently pushing the multiculti agenda, even if it's precisely because of this multiculti agenda that such horrible terrorist attacks happen: no massive muslim immigration in Europe; no neo-colonialism in Middle-East= no muslim threat against Europe and these two women would be still alive today).

I remember that my grand-mother said about this way of acting: "it's very bad to make money by selling shoes of dead people."

What a disgusting PR stunt.
its not a PR stunt. the muslim girl and the christian girl are both missing. they're just showing how indiscriminate the terrorist attack was.

It's overblown and has an agenda, but it represents the truth of the matter and hammers it home to those who might currently be cursing every muslim in the UK. If it makes these people remember that this **** affects people indiscriminately, then its allowable and even worthy IMO.

Yeah, I guess some people think it's ok to use victims for their political propaganda. But then again, some people and this particular tabloid has no integrity whatsoever.

I'm just wondering what agenda you guys believe the Sun newspaper has?

As far as respectability goes, it's right near the bottom, no doubt about that.

However this is the paper that has taken the biggest stand against immigration into this country. And ,controvesially, had a big anti-gypsy drive a few months back.

And colomnist Richard Littlejohn has a section headlined, "Hello bombers, and welcome to Londonistan." Which critisised Ken Livingstones liberal stance towards radical Muslim clerics.
