It's a real shame when professional soldiers are killed in accidents, be it the two SAS guys in a car crash, the Polish soldier killed by an ND, or the US soldiers in a heli crash. It's such a waste. RIP.

Yes it hits home ,as I was looking at our Regimental magazine online yesterday, reading all the goss, seeing who was where etc,and the lads pic was there prodly showing his L/Cpl stripe after being promoted!
More so as the lad's cousin was killed in a landrover accident in NI last year, also an Argyll, along with 2 other Jocks.
I woke up this morning to hear the news of an "Argyll" killed in Iraq, and as I still have a lot of connections within the Regiment it was pretty grim news

You're right.... he is Australian. If there's one thing I know.... it's Mel Gibson.

Mel was born in New York, but his parents moved to Australia where he was raised. So he's technically an American.
But Jack was just trying to pay tribute to the Scots...so let's let it go. :|
