They are not especially foolhardy or dumb - any more than the cameramen always there to take the pictures are. They know there is little risk that the IDF will shoot them unless they actually do something threatening.

How many pictures have you seen of a Palestinian kid staring down the barrel of a Merkava while throwing a rock? Dozens? Hundreds? Maybe "foolhardy" or "jaded" explains the kid, but what about the cameraman? In almost all those shots the cameraman is in the line of fire as well. While some of them might be "foolhardy" too, most just know there isn't a great danger.

There certainly is grave danger to them. It's foolish to taunt the Soldiers.
The cameramen are not approaching the tanks as they are. Molotov cocktails are regularly thrown. A shaped charge placed correctly would be devastating to the crew. They could just as easily get caught under the treads and get squished like a jellybean.....

Your helping them rebuild are you? Is that the only reason you went in there? I thought the reason you were in Iraq and Afghanistan was to fight terrorism, of course helping them rebuild is a part of that fight. But in the the end the main reason the U.S is there is to protect it's interests, so please spare me the whole "were there to free the oppressed" speach since I doubt anyone in the U.S government even thought of "rebuilding" Afghanistan before 9/11.

Did I say they were forced? Maybe not forced but probably encouraged, look at the example I gave of the mothers of suicied bombers. Of course it's not just the parents but also the Palestinian society that glorifies stone throwers and dead terrorists.

In 1993, while TFR was conducting operations in Somalia...CWO Michael Durant had his bird rested in the desert waiting for the Rangers to finish up some training. The Somalis would of course flock to Americans for goodies and such. Durant sat on top of the bird because he had not eaten in days while the rest of his crew tried to watch the crowd and give some goodies to the children. Durant then sees a couple Somali teenagers sneaking suspiciously away with something underneath their shirt...Michael jumps down and looks under his seat...NVG's gone...chases the bastards with his MP5 through sand dunes and eventually to the edge of the city, popped a few rounds...they eventually got them back.though. :D

Depends on the children...if they were just innocent kids who wanted to play on a cool tank then why not...win some hearts and minds. If they were obviously not there for good, then I would be like, "Sorry kids, you gots to get the f*** out :bash: "

The buildings show the first structures of a temple. On the northwest side of the city theres a mesopotamian tempel existing of ceveral layers of masoned (as in masonry) stones and straw.
