Ok guys,I'm going to ask you all to stop posting pics of PSD's from sites that are not public domain, infact I'm going to request that you all stop posting full stop.
I've had numerous emails in the last few days about guys pics ,and kit pics there on the web for all to see.........Unless you get express permission to post such pics please stop posting them, and I'll double check the permission is given.
PSD is not a game,it's a serious business, and people get killed, sure we all pose for pics ,who doesn't,but the last thing you need is to have your face in a huge 1280 x 768 all over the place.
Please try to remember that a lot of PSD's are former SOF,and they're not too happy about PERSEC being breached...........if you're unsure about posting pics, then ask...... can be verified.
Don't go upsetting the PSD community,it's small as my name is associated with it,it's dragging me down with the negative side of this pictures thing.
Think for a minute here guys and gall's,would you be happy posting pics of your kids on the net, knowing they might fall into some sick Paedo's hands?
Thank you in anticipation
Argyll

Completely understandable. I hope everyone will abide by this, as I know it's important to do so.
Hope all's well Argyll. You home or "over there?"

I do have some advice for PSD's worried about OPSEC/PERSEC:
When I went through PSD training, the operators told us the 1st day what they thought about OPSEC/PERSEC. They told us:
1-Don't pose for pictures
2-If you choose to pose for pictures, don't post them on the internet at a place where anyone can find them with a simple google search.
They were of the school that if you don't want your PSD identity compromised by pictures, well, don't pose for pictures. I agree, I don't think the blame should fall on the MP.net guys, when the PSD's are the one's posing for pics then posting them on the internet. If the PSD's want OPSEC/PERSEC they should be a little more responsible and stop taking pictures posing with the tricked out m4 and all of the "cool kit".

Well Im sure not all of them knew that the picture was going to be spread throughout the internet. The person taking the photos, if he plans to post them he should black out the faces. I even black out all my S# on my firearms. Only one picture of my serial number got out and that was a friend who thought the S# was only on the other side of the slide and sent it out to only one of his buddies. Even though I told outright an hour earlier that if he wants to send pics to his friends, to black out the S# number...so I went on his comp and black out all the S# of my ****.

Like I said, even CAG and DEVGRU pose for photo's,but not for the wannabes on the net,but for private pics,I've posted pics for the net,but I've edited them so that nobody within them is identifiable!
Only those who know me personaly will know what the real me looks like!!
Look at the ****storm the wife of a SEAL team guy caused,by posting her husbands private pics. p-)
I'd also be pissed off if someone posted a full view pic of me on the net, without my permission............you don't just take your fathers car because it's the familys, you still have to ask his permission!!! ;)

This is going to keep on happening until the mods start locking accounts and banning people for breaking the rules.

For those that illegally post pics from PSD etc; We will find you and knock on your door when you are asleep and you may be lucky just to receive a illegal pic post tickett.
;)
It should be the same for all photo's then shouldn't it?
I'm sure half the photos on here are posted without the permission of their owners. Same with the blurring of the faces in the photos.
Just an observation
