Good question! Until recently, PLA hasn't paid much attention to training professional snipers. Traditionally, Chinese snipers were limited to the role of long-range rifle in a platoon. They totally lack concealment, sniper equipment and tactics that normally associated with their Western counterparts. These are actually first photos that show PLA snipers with the same level of camo as their Western peers. As you can see, this sniper is deployed seperately from the rest of his infantry platoon. This indicates a change of tactic in PLA's book. Still, lack the two-man crew commonly seen in NATO. Surprisingly, armed police special force has adopted 2-man crew.

Nah there's three, but they take turns on the same rifle. You know small budget and all.

Surprisingly, armed police special force has adopted 2-man crew.



I don't think that's a surprise. Armed police usually provide urban operation support like hostage rescue to police department in dealing with city crisis. 2-man crew would be more efficient while concealment is not a top priority.

Because there is a butt, a trigger , a scope and a barrel.

We actually do clone not copy.

This will be PLA's next generation sniper.
