Well at least some of them...

A few hundred 101st Airborne troops are back on base...5th SFG always a mystery ;) but they have been in good #'s for awhile now...160th SOAR troops can hardly be seen.

I had to get a haircut at the PX earlier this afternoon, it was much more busy than the last time I went. Troops are starting to return from overseas, some still in desert BDU's and their little boonie hats. Not as packed as the good old pre-9/11 days during lunch time but I haven't seen it this busy in a good year or more.

It was great to see the troops enjoying lunch in the food court...you got the easy to spot, long-haired SF guys with custom velcro everywhere clinging together in groups. You got the 101st guys all over with a few reservists and other tenant units stationed at Campbell lingering around.

Can't wait till all of the boys get home. woot

Chick that I go to school with told me that her dad, a LtCol. with the 101st, will be back in early Feb. I told I know what its like to have your dad gone for almost 2 years since my old man was gone in 90-91 for the first Guld War.

That must be terrible, to know that your own family is down in a warzone... SPECIALLY someone like your father...

I would be proud of the job he would be doing, but I'd be scared ****less...

I'm glad my father is "just" a principal.

I'm glad that they are coming home, and I wish only the best to those men and women who are replacing them.

I am also glad they are coming home, and...

*Salutes* to the fallen soldiers who did not make it back.
