When we were leaving Kosovo, the police and paramilitary were taking are documents so that if we ever returned to kosovo there is no proof that you ever lived there.

Soldiers of 1 Para Regt. have opened rooms in the HQ of the Serbian MUP showing the scene as it was when first entered. The rooms are ransacked. Known locally as "The Chamber of Horrors" there are knuckle dusters, truncheons, axes and other instruments scattered on the floor of the basement. The building was vacated only hours before the Paras entered and the signs of habitation are still in evidence. Bread is still on the table and cigarettes in the ashtrays with personal clothing still in lockers. In the damp basement room with a single light bulb and no furniture various items lay scattered on the floor including a sword, baseball bat and a truncheon.

Yes it was...

...on Sunday June 6 1999, 1 PARA, reinforced by 125 men from 3 PARA, deployed to Macedonia, ready for action in Kosovo. Within a few days the mission was announced - 1 PARA was to help clear the way for a NATO peacekeeping force (KFOR) to enter Kosovo unmolested by possible pockets of hardline Serb resistance... the pics of the torture room: for those who don't recognize cyrilic script (which I can't even spell in English.. you know, Russian script), the big baseball bat's name was "BINGO"... and the nasty rusty, spiked knuckle-duster.. I don;t even want to imagine what the sick f***s who ran that place got up to... great pics. Hoo-ah to the Red Devils!

It's an optical sight used when launching riflegrenades. I'm not sure who produces it. I did once, nut I forgot about it. I think it's the Company Ring Sights who produces them, but I can't view their site ATM so I can't check.

Thanks for that. :D I found the site http://www.ringsights.com and while the pics aren't clear it's obvious that's what it is....and I guess the reason we don't see them anymore is because they're using the AG-36 now.

While I was in Kosovo I avoided wrecked Serbian armour. The danger of possibly inhaling depleted uranium dust was a concern since many of the vehicles had been engaged by aircraft using 30mm cannons.

Ditto, but still worth taking a piss test. If you were in the area you might be surprised. I was.

I don't want to start a flamewar, but I'm sorry - swords, werewolf man ****? For a "chamber of horrors" it sure seems clean. I can understand it if the torturers took pride in meticulously cleaning their rusty spiked knuckles after each use, but the only thing I see in the concrete is dirt and rust from the pipes. Blood in concrete is almost impossible to wash out. I can still clearly see the small droplets in a concrete tile outside my house, and those are from a nosebleed I had 4 years ago. The whole thing just seems a little too convenient if you ignore the details. Does anyone know if a forensic investigation was conducted with connection to what we see in the photos?

In that particular incidence, yes. The UK (& others, but that is a UK MoD photo) investigated numerous war crimes, on both sides of the conflict in Kosovo.

Do not let this degenerate into a flame war.
