The top picture is an old shot of the 1er RPIMa 's VIIP buggy built by the Pachiaudi company. I don't think they use them anymore. Now it's more Landrovers, ACMAT VLRAs (like 22 SAS) and Peugeot P4.

How do I get a subscription, or more info on this magazine?

It's a bi-monthly magazine published by Concord Publication (www.concord-publications.com) and edited by Sam Katz.

Be warned that some of the articles are a little outdated, and on occassion, the info is just flat wrong. Also, some of their authors don't speak English very well, and it shows (The editors should catch smoe of this, but they don't), but the photos are outstanding.

I have a standing order with a local book store for my copies. they cut me a 15% discount for being military.

Another good source is Hometown Hobbies or www.warbooks.com. Hometown is cheaper, but warbooks carries a lot of foreign titiles (Canadian, Bitish, South African, French and German) that you can't find anywhere else in the US.

RAIDS reader find some of the same authors in the Concord books.

Yves Debay and Carl Schultz for example often use the pics they did not publish in RAIDS to illustrate those articles.

In Europe they are available at the Histoire et Collections bookshop in Paris. Here is the link to it:

A lot of the same authors from the French and Italian RAIDS, the Spanish Soldiers Raids, and the US SWAT magazines submit articles to Special Ops.

Triggerpuller here's an issue you may like.

I've got it. It's a follow up article on Force Recon. The 1st article was in Vol. 19 and covered a MSPF TRUEX in Savannah, GA.

The article in Vol. 25 covers the 1st & 2d Force Recon Companies (the info in it is a little old). Some of the pics are from and old RAIDS Magazine article on 2d Force Recon that was published in the early 90's.

Here's a couple of pages from the Force article in Vol. 25:

I am worried about any magazine that calls itself "Special Ops" and has a picture of a basic grunt from the 173rd Airborne in Italy on its cover.

MSG D I guess they cover themselves by stating journal of "elite" forces and SWAT units. Would be my only guess.

Dominique thanks for the links.

When they first started publishing they only covered "elite" units. They branched out and started covering pretty much any modern day military or police specilist unit.

They do have a companion book called "Assault" that concentrates on aromr, mech, and aviation units.
